A Quiet Courage

Mild-mannered charity shop volunteer Doreen tries, as she always has, to do the right thing in a world where that is unusual. Fueled by a past that she keeps closely guarded, Doreen is compelled to take pity on a stranger who enters the shop, contrary to the instruction of her strict, career-minded boss Susan. Asserting her authority, Susan places Doreen in a difficult situation and a choice has to be made. What do you give up? The one thing that keeps you going, or the one reason you keep going?

Based on the short story Dangerous Precedent by Andrew Campbell-Kearsey, drama A Quiet Courage was filmed in and around south London in just five days. It has been an Official Selection at HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Hackney Attic Film Festival in the UK.
